Cornmeal pancakes

These are pooper helpers. I actually like these better than whole wheat pancakes because corn is a bit more flavorful. My kids seem to like them too.

1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 T sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup oil or melted butter

Then you know how to do the rest, right? This is just my regular pancake recipe, I just substituted half the flour for corn flour.
**Edited to add in the baking powder. Sorry about that. But like I said, you can just use your own pancake recipe and just do half corn meal if you are interested.

Can I give some tips to your already awesome pankakes to make them over the top healthy?
Instead of:

Egg, use 1 Tbs of flax seed and 3 Tbs water. Mix and let sit for a few minutes to get sticky.

Cow's milk, use almond or coconut milk

Oil/butter, use Earth Balance Butter (healthier and non-hydroginated), coconut or olive oil (virgin, cold/expeller pressed)

Refined sugar, use evaporated cane juice, sucnant or turbinado sugar

Eating healthy is a matter of having the RIGHT ingredients on hand. Then you don't have to worry about it being healthy when you make it or eat it. Just buy these items instead and have them on hand. It is that easy!!!
